Meet the members of our team below:
Cindy Delaney, President, Managing Partner

Cindy founded Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 1997. The business has grown approximately 20% each year since its inception, largely due to the number of annual events the firm coordinates. Prior to starting Delaney Meeting & Event Management, Cindy gained 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry working for Omni Hotels, Smugglers' Notch Resort and the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center. She was an adjunct professor at Champlain College for the Hospitality and Tourism program as well as a past board member of the Vermont Convention Bureau, and past Board Chair and board member of RunVermont, producer of the Vermont City Marathon. She is a past Board member and Communications Committee Chair for the New England Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association, and the past President for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. She is a graduate of Skidmore College with a BS in Business Administration, and attended the Cornell School of Hotel Management.

Janice Valgoi, Partner, Project Manager

Janice Valgoi joined Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 2006 as Cindy Delaney's new partner. Janice was in the hotel business for over 20 years in Florida, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Virginia, before being transferred to Vermont to work at the Radisson Hotel Burlington in 1990. Janice was the Director of Sales for 16 years responsible for conventions and marketing and assisted the hotel with the transition from a Radisson Hotel to the Wyndham Hotel in 2003. She was an adjunct professor at Champlain College for Destination Management. Janice serves on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Convention Bureau and the YMCA Camp Committee. She is a past President of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and the past Chair of the Vermont Convention and Visitors Bureau's Marketing Committee. She graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Meg Boera, Communications and Marketing Specialist

Meg has been with Delaney Meeting & Event Management since January 2001. She is a project manager and meeting planner. She was previously employed at the University of Vermont as a Conference Specialist in their Continuing Education Division from 1998-2001. In that capacity she oversaw a variety of conference events, and specialized in committee program development, marketing, continuing education accreditation, and logistical support. Prior to becoming a conference specialist, Meg worked for UVM in the Marketing Department as a project manager from 1996-1998. From 1990-1996, Meg gained broad experience working for the Howard Center for Human Services, and the Vermont Public Interest Research Group. She has a BA in Sociology from St. Michaels College.

Carol Henry, Graphic Design and Bookkeeper

Carol began working for Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 1999 while obtaining her bachelor’s degree at Champlain College. Areas of expertise have included financial management and bookkeeping, web and print based graphic design, conference coordinating and related office administration. Carol was the Catering Manager of the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center as well as the Ramada, both formerly known as Conference Hotels of Vermont. Known as the largest hotel and conference center North of Boston, Sheraton is a local icon center for hosting large-scale events. Currently, Carol is the bookkeeper for Delaney Meeting & Event Management and she is filling the role of print-based graphic design for client related conference publications. A native to Vermont, she currently resides in Williston.

Jacey Garceau, Conference Revenue Manager and Web Mistress

Jacey is the Conference Revenus Manager and Web Designer for Delaney Meeting & Event Management. She has extensive computer experience including database management and web development. She graduated from Champlain College with an Associates Degree in Website Development and Management. Jacey brings over 5 years of administrative and web development experience to Delaney.

Victoria Rust, Administrative Assistant and Registration Support

Victoria joined the Delaney Meeting & Event Management team in February 2007. She graduated from Champlain College with an associate’s degree in Tourism Management & Event Planning. Victoria has excellent customer service experience gained at a variety of customer service intensive positions including guest services and special events staff at Walt Disney World, FL, Customer Service Agent for Comair/Delta Airlines, and medical receptionist at an Urgent Care facility.

Kim Neiditz, Administrative Assistant and Special Projects

Kim is one of the newest members of the Delaney Meeting and Event Management team. She began as an intern when working towards completion of her Senior Industry Management Apprenticeship for Champlain College. Shortly after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Industry Management from Champlain, Kim began working at Delaney Meeting and Event Management full time. She has a history of working in customer service and hospitality positions at various locations in New England.

Lisa Smith

Lisa joined our team in 2008 as the exhibitor and sponsor sales professional. She makes outgoing sales calls and follows up with exhibitors and sponsors and gets them to commit to selling their services at our conferences. Lisa honed her sales skills at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington where she was the Business Travel Sales Executive for eight years. She is well rounded in her hotel experience with many other positions at the hotel: Assistant Front Office Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, and Night Manager. Before that Lisa was the on-site coordinator for Kelly Services, Inc in South Burlington. Lisa graduated with a Hotel/Restaurant Management Degree from Paul Smith's College of Arts and Science in New York.

Marie McNamara

After completing her senior Business internship from Champlain College, Marie became the newest member of the Delaney Meeting & Event Management team. She has an Associate's Degree in Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. She is the Marketing & Sales Assistant and is a specialist in Delaney's newest service: Integration and implementation of Social Media Marketing.

Jessie, Vice President of Four-Leggedness
Jessie has been with Delaney Meeting & Event Management since 1998. She is in charge of warm welcomes, customer service, and general well being around the office. She gladly accepted the position of Vice President of Four Leggedness in 2006.
