Cindy Delaney Business Owner & Founder/Project & Client Manager
Cindy founded Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 1997 and has steadily increased the business since its inception, expanding the range of events and depth of services. In her role as a project/client manager she specializes in conservation and natural resources event management. Prior to branching out on her own, Cindy gained 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry working for Omni Hotels, Smugglers' Notch Resort and the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center. She was an adjunct professor at Champlain College for the Hospitality and Tourism program, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Queen City Police Foundation and Key 4 Women National Advisory Board. She is a past board member and Communications Committee Chair for the New England Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association, and the past President for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. She is a graduate of Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and attended the Cornell School of Hotel Management. Cindy is an avid outdoor activity enthusiast spending her spare time running, biking, hiking, skiing and participating in multi-sport events.

Alison Johnson Project Manager
Alison joined Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 2012 as an Event Planner/Client Manager. Alison brings with her extensive experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, and communications to the team. Most recently, Alison was the alumni relations director at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, where she managed numerous alumni events and built relationships with alumni and students to encourage involvement with the school. Prior to Champlain College, Alison was the Director of Marketing & Outreach at Vermont Council for Quality in Colchester, Vermont. Alison received her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1997 from Champlain College. On her off hours, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Cindy Sherwood Project Manager
Cindy joined Delaney Meeting & Event Management in 2011 as a Project Manager. She is a New Jersey native and graduate of New England College. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, although she worked in hospitality sales for the past 12 years. She started her career with the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant in the Sales Office. After a year she was promoted to Wedding Coordinator and Catering Manager, a role she held until 2007 when she was promoted to the hotel’s only Convention Service Manager. Cindy is a long-distance runner and completed her first marathon in 2009. She also enjoys hiking and snow shoeing the Green Mountains of Vermont with her black lab, Murphy.

Meg Boera Communications & Production Manager
Meg has been with Delaney Meeting & Event Management since January 2001, and her role has evolved and changed to encompass a variety of responsibilities including project management, production of event communications and trade show coordination. She was previously employed at the University of Vermont as a Conference Specialist in their Continuing Education Division from 1998-2001, and also worked for UVM in the Marketing Department as a project manager from 1996-1998. From 1990-1996, Meg gained broad experience working for the Howard Center for Human Services, and the Vermont Public Interest Research Group. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Saint Michaels College. A native of Cape Cod, Meg lives in the south end of Burlington with her husband, two children and Shih Tzu, Gigi, who often accompanies her to the office.

Jacey Garceau Conference Revenue Manager, Registration Specialist and Webmaster
Jacey brings a wealth of technical experience to her role at Delaney Meeting & Event Management. She has been a member of the team since 2006 and is our resident expert for Cvent, the on-line, web-based registration processing system. She is also responsible for developing and managing client websites, and for financial management and bookkeeping functions. She has an Associates Degree in Website Develpment and Management from Champlain College.

Victoria Rust Registration & Customer Service Specialist
Victoria joined the Delaney Meeting & Event Management team in February 2007. She graduated from Champlain College with an Associate’s Degree in Tourism Management & Event Planning. Victoria has excellent customer service experience gained at a variety of customer service intensive positions including guest services and special events staff at Walt Disney World, Florida and Customer Service Agent for Comair/Delta Airlines, and medical receptionist at an Urgent Care facility

Kim Neiditz Vendor Relations, Communications & Assistant Project Manager
Kim is a 5-year veteran at Delaney, bringing to her role a B.S. in Hospitality Industry Management from Champlain College, as well as the knowledge that she has acquired from expanding levels of responsibility during her tenure. She is best known for her people and organizational skills and serves Delaney Meeting & Event Management in the areas of vendor relations, signage design and production, floor plan development and event publications. Her employment history includes an eclectic collection of customer relation and hospitality positions throughout New England. Kim is a music enthusiast, enjoys gardening and loves to share her skills as a creative vegetarian "chef". Like many of her coworkers she shares a love of four-legged creatures and her dog Madison is part of the office pet menagerie.

Marie McNamara Marketing & Promotion Assistant and Web Content Manager
Marie holds an Associate's Degree in Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. She joined Delaney Meeting & Event Management during her senior year at Champlain College as an intern and became a full-time employee upon completion of her degree. Marie’s responsibilities focus on design of surveys and development of survey reports, integration of social media marketing, production and distribution of press releases, speaker communications, site selection and additional event/special projects support. When not at work, Marie enjoys spontaneous road trips, live music, art, being outside, cooking and farmers markets.

Jody Podell Special Projects Coordinator
Jody is a 2008 graduate of the University of Vermont. Prior to joining Delaney Meeting & Event Management, Jody worked as an Event Coordinator for athletic events, road races, and charity walks at JB Sports in Branford, Connecticut. Jody’s responsibilities focus on event site selection, meeting space allocation, web content, registration support, and additional event/special projects. When she's not at work, Jody enjoys running, yoga, kayaking, and hiking.

Lisa Smith Fundraising & Exhibit Sales
Lisa joined our team in 2008 as a sales professional for conference exhibitors and sponsors. Lisa developed her sales skills at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington where she was the Business Travel Sales Executive for eight years. She is well-rounded in her experience with many other positions held during her tenure at the Hilton Hotel including Assistant Front Office Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, and Night Manager. Before that Lisa was the on-site coordinator for Kelly Services, Inc in South Burlington. Lisa graduated with a Hotel/Restaurant Management Degree from Paul Smith's College of Arts and Science in New York.

Jessie, Vice President of Four-Leggedness Jessie has been with Delaney Meeting & Event Management since 1998. She is in charge of warm welcomes, customer service, and general well being around the office. She gladly accepted the position of Vice President of Four Leggedness in 2006. |
